Making a claim
The procedures to follow in the event of a claim are simple and straightforward, but there are some very important steps to take, and you are encouraged to read this carefully.
We take claims very seriously and if the person named below cannot be contacted please speak with the telephone operator at the offices named below and they will direct you to someone who can help.
It is very important that you notify us immediately if you believe, or become aware, that there could be a claim. A claim might not arise from the situation, but please be sure to tell us, even if it turns out to be groundless.
It is always wise for you to to follow up a telephone conversation with a paper record of your call.
Because of the nature of our application process you will be aware that you do not sign anything when this application is made. That is because the electronic systems are so arranged that you cannot proceed to have a policy issued if one or more of the questions are not answered according to our criteria.
The underwriters will, however, in the event of a claim, require you to complete and sign a declaration that the answers you provided in the application process were accurate at the time you applied.
The person to contact in the event of a claim is:
