Laughter therapy
Practitioners working with individuals or groups to promote the beneficial effects of laughing for the purpose of bringing more laughter and happiness into people’s lives, the benefits are claimed to be:
  • Laughter releases endorphins, giving us the 'feel good factor'
  • Acts as aerobic exercise and is like 'internal jogging'
  • Unleashes inhibitions, breaks down barriers
  • Great team building tool encourages better communication
  • Helps boost our immune system which helps us resist disease
  • Tones muscles, improves respiration and circulation
  • Encourages positive thinking and creativity
  • Relaxes the whole body by reducing stress and tension
Qualification requirement
A minimum of 100 hours of formal study and evidence of such study from a training establishment we recognise PLUS evidence of continued professional development of a minimum of 10 hours a year PLUS 2 years of established practice in this field PLUS No claims made against you whether justified or not.
